While there are indeed "hawks" who might seek to start a war with China, it seems to me that the majority of Washington's military establishment clearly understands that such a conflict would not be "winnable." They attempt to contain China through threats and regional "alliances," yet they know that a confrontation of that magnitude would leave the entire U.S. military apparatus in dire straits.

There is no doubt that the United States has lost out to Iran; even worse, it has become increasingly clear to the world that the U.S. acts as a lackey to Israel. It ends up doing whatever Netanyahu’s government orders, and naturally, the true interests of the United States in the region are disregarded during decision-making. The only thing that matters is what benefits Israel—though even that is debatable, given that Israeli expansionism is already exacting a heavy domestic price and forcing a strategic realignment in the region, with Iran now holding the final say in the Strait of Hormuz and new alliances emerging (such as those with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, though their reliability in a crisis remains uncertain).

Go home America and sort out your mess and take your little friend with you… the legal fiction that calls itself Israel.
