A Substack reader sent me a link to a book titled Opium Lords – Israel, Golden Triangle, and the Kennedy Assassination. It was written by a Salvador Astucia.
"Controversy: The book is highly speculative and not based on mainstream historical evidence".
Having studied history to degree level, I am suspicious of the concept "mainstream historical evidence". Evidence is evidence. Whether or not it is "mainstream" sounds more a question of who cites it - which is not relevant to its truth and importance.
Thanks to Julius for introducing me to you, Hua. Love the term conspiracy empiricist, which is a lot like James Corbett's 'conspiracy realist.' On the JFK/ Mossad connection, I've been very impressed with Laurent Guyenot and his book The Unspoken Kennedy Truth: https://www.amazon.com/Unspoken-Kennedy-Truth-Laurent-Guy%C3%A9not/dp/2957170418/
great. I'll make sure to read it. Chinese 5000 year history was quite instructive in dealing with crumbling empires/dynasties - a revolution need to happen to reset the system, unfortunately violent revolutions for the most part. I guess this is what creative destruction ultimately mean. I also follow James Corbett for years - he has done great open source investigations. I never quite get the new world order angle - maybe it's a code word for jewish control but most of his thesis are valid. Guyenot has written several interesting historical analysis. Another writer I recommend is Chris Bollyn who has done extensive research on who is behind 911 which I find very convincing. His book is titled Solving 911.
A series that I read about China and empire was called The Poppy War. It's in a category called grimdark fantasy but taught me a lot of history I didn't know. I don't know if you read fiction but it's well written. I ended up doing this episode on it: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/poppy-wars-and-manchukuo-monsters.
Yes, that 5000 years was quite a volatile one from time to time involving both internal revolutions and foreign invasions, but always underpinned by the concept of the ‘heavenly mandate’.
And on that topic, let me mention *The Twenty-Four Histories*
The Twenty-Four Histories is a collection of Chinese historical books covering a period of history from 3000 BC to the Ming Dynasty in the seventeenth century.
The whole set contains 3213 volumes and about 40 million words. It is often considered an authoritative source of traditional Chinese history and culture, and is used for research on literature, art, music, science, military affairs, geography, ethnography and other subjects.
No other civilisation has kept such a diary.
And I am assured that President Xi Jinping has read every word. Of course, I have not.
Thank you Hua. That was fascinating (and amusing). I noted the way this chat-bot deflected all of the valid criticisms of the very mainstream and academic narrative it defends as a means of assuming the ‘high intellectual ground’.
Firstly, the phrase ‘mainstream and academic researchers’ is an oxymoron – this should read: ‘mainstream and academic propagandists’. No mainstream and academic ‘researcher’ is researching JFK or any other of the so-called ‘conspiracy theories’.
Matthew Raphael Johnson coined the term ‘tenured academics’. ‘Court historians' is another.
The very points used by the chat-bot to deflect its role as a misinformation tool are the ones these propagandists are themselves skilled at deploying
• Are they primary or secondary sources?
• Do they align with established historical facts? (note the weaponised word ‘established’)
• Do they cherry-pick data while ignoring contradictory evidence?
William Joyce best summarised their technique in “Twilight Over England” where he writes:
“How much can be learnt from history has long been a matter of speculation. Much depends on the capacity of the pupil. There is probably no branch of learning, except economics, in which conjecture plays so large a part. ***Almost any set of facts can be selected, in a partial fashion, to prove any theory, however, absurd.***“
And thank you for the reading recommendation – I found a link to a PDF of Salvador Astucia’s “Opium Lords”:
Laurent Guyenot would be another good source – I have heard him interviewed on these topics but have not yet read his book “JFK-9/11: Fifty Years of Deep State”:
I have read Guyenot book from JFK to 911, readily available on amazon, and can vouch for it. he focused on the historical context and argued both events are essentially a continuation of the same dark forces. he also wrote several interesting books on zionists. you can follow his essays on Unz Review.
Good points. Mainstream information probably accounts for 90% of all information, so AI bots will always favor "mainstream" sources because where else would they get enough information to draw conclusions? Chatting with bots seems to be inherently biased.
Your conversation seemed like it was leading CHAT to continue to validate your questions with expanded answers and enthusiasm for more!
Your persistence in not concurring to CHAT's use of "mainstream" seemed to "free it" from what it's usual regular countenance would be without your persistence.
A came to believe a long time ago that it is impossible to dismantle an empire. They are too complex with too many entrenched special interests who fight hard to maintain their status quo and pay checks. I believe the Soviet Union "stavka" deliberately collapsed the USSR to save Russia and prepare for the collapse of the USA. What we are seeing at present is the inevitable collapse of the USA and the very careful attempts by Russia and China to manage that decent.
That may well be (debatable), but let me introduce you to Tereza Coraggio who has written the book “How to Dismantle an Empire”. She is currently providing chapter readings. Here’s a good place to start on her very extensive and erudite channel.
Thanks, interesting chat with ChatGPt. I wonder what Chat GPt regards as “mainstream” on topics relating to China. Is Chinese state media considered “mainstream”? 🙂

Glad to meet another conspiracy realist!

Yes, I really like Guyenot's historical analysis. I've done a few on him: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/from-yahweh-to-zion and https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/the-myth-of-ad.
And yes, Mossad also seems to be the culprit of 911. I'll check out Chris Bollyn, thanks for the suggestion.
Hua, speaking of the magic number of 5000 (years’ history), a few years ago I invested in this remarkable lecture series by Kenneth J Hammond:
• Lecture Series – “From Yao to Mao - 5000 Years of Chinese History”
• Great Courses – Kenneth J. Hammond
